Politeknik Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin

Politeknik Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin (PSMZA) was unveiled on July 24, 2006 after receiving the gift of His Majesty the Sultan of Terengganu in conjunction with His Majesty's 44th Birthday. Earlier this polytechnic was known as 'Terengganu Dungun Polytechnic'.

PSMZA began operations since January 2001 at Dungun Technical High School and then moved to its own campus starting October 8, 2001. The academic session began in December 2001 with the recruitment of 293 students and now PSMZA has successfully graduated 17,312 (2003 - 2016) graduates.

PSMZA is located at the foot of Bukit Bauk, approximately 8 km from Dungun Town, 88 km from Kuala Terengganu and 125 km from Kuantan. The PSMZA covers 76.6 acres, including academic block development, workshops & laboratories, lecture halls, lecture halls, seminars, TECC rooms, 1412 student residences, Resource Center, Islamic Center, sports complex, softball field, futsal yard, cooperative, cafeterias, cafés and many other amenities. A total of 9 diploma programs are offered at PSMZA and 1 pre Diploma in Science program. PSMZA has 4 main departments namely the Department of Civil Engineering, the Department of Electrical Engineering, the Department of Mechanical Engineering, the Information & Communication Technology Department and is supported by 2 supporting departments namely the Department of Mathematics, Science & Computers and the Department of General Studies. The total staff was 462 people comprising academic staff (352 people) and academic support (110 people).
