What is Construction Economic Engineering (Quantity Surveyor)?

Construction Economic Engineering is one of the study programs that experience many misconceptions because of the word "economy" in its name. As a result, many think that this study program is part of the Faculty of Economics and Business, even though this study program is more concerned with the Civil Engineering and is part of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Planning (FTSP). This study program itself is better known as the Quantity Surveyor (QS). QS itself is more prioritizing in terms of controlling construction costs without ruling out the quantity of work, volume of work, and other supporting aspects that are common in the construction sector. This study program studies the measurement of the quantity of construction from simple house buildings to high rise building. Provide estimates of initial costs, investments, and cash flow in a project. Here, the tender process will also be studied, how to make tender documents, to evaluate the results of the tender.
