What is Computer Engineering?

Computer engineering is a study program that integrates electrical engineering and computer science in developing hardware, software and computer networks. Computer Engineering Study Program is also known as Computer System. Here what will be learned is how to design and build a "brain" from a computer or other electronic device that will control the course of the system. The form of the computer's "brain" is the processor or chip contained in the motherboard. FYI, this processor or chip will process instructions or activities from the hardware (for example, pressing a key on the keyboard, or clicking a mouse), which is then stored in memory, and operated by an algorithm. In this study program will also learn programming, but programming here is more emphasized on machine programming languages.

Why did you choose this programme?

Computers are one tool that cannot be separated from life. You must often use a computer. Well, through this study program you will find out how computers that consist of software, hardware, and networks are designed and developed to become tools like the ones we use today. If you are a hi-tech person, as well as strong math and logic, you can choose this study program, because here every day you will struggle with mathematical functions, and logic.

Job Prospect for Computer Engineering

This study program not only studies computer components (hardware) but also software (software) from computers so that graduates can apply these sciences to various computer applications. Career prospects related to this study program cover a very broad field including technopreneur, computer network designer, to IT consultant. Graduates of this department can work in the private and public sectors (government) that require management of a computer system or network.
