What is Mechanical Plant Engineering Technology?
Plant Engineering Technology (Mechanical) program provides graduates with the knowledge and skills required by various engineering, construction, fabrication and operations companies. The program also exposes graduates to theory and practice through practical classes that include design, principles- engineering principles in addition to computer aided design (CAD) software skills such as AutoCAD Plant 3-D and Pattern Development (Plate and Sheet). Graduates who successfully complete their studies in this program will work as mechanical designers and assistant engineers in various organizations such as engineering companies, construction, oil and gas as well as equipment production companies. Typically, graduates are required to apply their knowledge and skills in the use of CAD software to produce designs and engineering drawings.
