About Institut Pendidikan Guru Kampus Sultan Mizan

Sultan Mizan College Teacher Education Institute was opened in 1999 under the name of Besut College College. The institute is located in Kampung Raja, Kuala Besut, Terengganu. Prior to 1999 this college was known as the Pasir Panjang College of Nursing located in Pasir Panjang, Kuala Terengganu. The premises are currently being acquired by the Terengganu Science Secondary School (SESTER).

Planning for the Terengganu College Colleges began in late 1990. The laying of the foundation stone and construction work began in 1996. The total expenditure totaled RM57.1 million. The actual date of use is January 1, 1999. Inaugurated by the DYMM Sultan of Terengganu on Oct 10th. 2002. On the 10th. Oct. 2002 the name of the College of Besut College changed to the Sultan Mizan College of Teaching, Besut, Terengganu. On May 6, 2006, the name of the Mizan Sultanate College was renamed to the Mizan Sultanate Institute of Technology, Besut, Terengganu and on January 16, 2009 became known as the Mizan Sultan Mizan Campus. The campus covers 50 hectares, comprising eight academic buildings, an administrative building, a co-curriculum building (GERKO), a Buddhist building, a large hall and a student center and student hostel.

The campus also offers many amenities such as prayer rooms, playgrounds and sports and sports facilities. The Mizan Sultanate College is now known as the Mizan College Teacher Education Institute (IPG).

The Sultan Mizan Campus IPG now has over 1700 trainees (including full-time and part-time trainers). The Mizan campus of the Mizan Campus carries out more than 20 courses including the Bachelor's Degree Preparatory Program (PPISMP), the Bachelor's Degree Program (PISMP), the Post Graduate Training Course (KPLI), the Best Teacher Training Program, the Holidays Course Program (KDC and LBPS-KPLI).

The Mizan University IPG Campus has 13 departments, namely, Department of Education, Department of Malay Studies, Department of Science, Mathematics Department, Educational Technology Department, Islamic and Moral Education Department, Pre-School Education, Research and Innovation Department of Professional Professionalism, Language Department, Department Social Studies, the Department of Student Affairs, the Department of Life Skills and the Department of Physical Education and Health.
