About Institut Kemahiran Belia Negara Peretak
The institute was established in 1954 and is based in Morib, Selangor.
It was originally known as the Morib Youth Hall and serves as a community service center. In 1964 the institute was named the National Youth Training Center,
Officiated by the first Prime Minister of Malaysia, the late YTM Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj on November 29, 1964.
The progress and importance of Vocational Training and Skills brought him to the Institute in 1991, and was named the National Print Skills Institute of Youth. Following the Selangor River Dam Project, the Institute relocated to Ampang Pecah, Kuala Kubu Bharu on 1st July 2002.
The new complex of the Institute was opened by YB Datuk Azalina Dato` Othman Said, Minister of Youth and Sports Malaysia on 30th April 2004. National Youth Skills Institute ( (The state) is located at Ampang Breakup about 4 km from Kuala Kubu Bharu Town, via Hamzah Road to Pekan Rasa and it is 65 km from Kuala Lumpur City. It was built on a 75 acre site and the development was only 25 acres. It is close to several Institutes of Study such as Darul Quran, Mara Science College (MRSM) and Spirit Buildings Camp, Ampang Break.
The IKBN is one of the 20 IKBNs under the Ministry of Youth and Sports Malaysia. The main focus of the Institute is to produce youthful resources who are passionate about skills and excellence in personality. The institute is run by a Director, assisted by the Head of Skills Division, Head of Student Affairs and the Head of Management Services Division. The total number of officers and staff at this time is 85. The current student capacity is 412.
