About Institut Kemahiran Belia Negara Kemasik

The National Youth Skills Institute of Kemasik (IKBNK), Terengganu is one of the 21 youth and sports skills training Institutions (ILKBS) which are shelter under the Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS) Malaysia. Located about one (1) kilometre from Kemaman town through the Kemaman-Dungun road. The construction of the Institute has since 1 December 2007 and started its operation officially on 18 October 2010. The 50 acre area can accommodate up to 500 trainees at one time.

The Institute was established to provide a training approach based on the current implementation which includes human development education and skill training. Human development education is conducted through religious activities, marching, leadership, entrepreneurship, teaching, community and sports. Skill training consists of theoretical lectures (30%) and practical training (70%).

The establishment of the ILKBS is also to cater for the growing demand for skilled energy in the country. This approach to the formation of the MINISTRY would help to solve the problems of the country's skilled energy shortage.

IKBN Kemasik was inaugurated by HRH Sultan of Terengganu on 4 October 2012, on Thursday at Dewan Seri Suria, IKBN Kemasik. The event was attended by VVIP, which consisted of the state leadership of Terengganu, the top management leadership of the Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS), representatives from the government and private agencies from Kemaman District and representatives from the local community leaders.

The event began with a salute of the IKBN Kemasik students, the Wataniah Soldier Regiment Parade, Al-Quran readings and Nasyid from IKBN students as well as dance performances. The summit was the launch of the opening GimIKBN Kemasik ' launching ceremony. HRH Sultan and Sultanah graces left the ceremony at 11.45 a.m..
