Kolej Komuniti Taiping

Taiping Community College is one of the largest community colleges in Malaysia. Community College is a system of higher education in Malaysia under the management of the Department of Community College (JPKK), Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia.

On July 5, 2000, the Cabinet considered the memorandum No. 398/2225/00 submitted by the Minister of Education on the concept of establishing and implementing Community College in each parliamentary constituency.

The college will be an institution that provides training and skills needs at all levels and provides secondary education opportunities before entering the labor market or pursuing higher education.

Community College provides services to the surrounding community by offering government-approved full-time courses and short courses. Graduates of qualified Community College may pursue diploma courses at Community College, Polytechnic or other Institute of Higher Education.
