About Institut Pendidikan Guru Kampus Perempuan Melayu

The Malay Women's Campus Teacher Education Institute (IPGKPM), formerly known as the Malay Women's College (MPPM) and formerly known as the Malay Women's Training College (MWTC) is a Malaysian Teacher Education Institute.

The institute is considered unique, in the sense that it is the only college training center that trains prospective girls, Malays and Muslims. The history of the institute began in 1934 when the Straits Government sparked the idea of setting up the MWTC. MWTC is planned to produce Malay female teachers to teach in primary schools across the country. On January 31, 1935, the establishment of the MWTC was proclaimed, following the renovation of the old Melaka Hospital building blocks. Located on a 38.9-hectare site, the institute, which is within the jurisdiction of the Municipal Council of Melaka Historic City, is expanding, in line with the development of the surrounding infrastructure.

The combination of old buildings, still in use today, with new ones, has made the Malay Women Campus IPG unique to its residents. IPGKPM is now moving into the era of globalization with the launch of the IPGKPM Website, which was completed by Director of Teacher Education, Tuan Haji Sa'ari Hassan on June 28, 1997. The IPGKM Strategic Plan (2005 - 2009) is being actively pursued to achieve ISO 9002, leading the way. realized the concept of "Smart Institute". Recently, IPGKPM is actively implementing information technology (TM) integration programs in teaching and learning, underpinning the Philosophy of Teacher Education and the National Philosophy of Education.
