About Pusat Latihan Teknologi Tinggi Shah Alam

Shah Alam High Technology Training Center or better known as ADTEC Shah Alam is one of the training institutes under the Human Resources Department (JTM) established to build a competent skilled workforce through high-tech training in line with the government's vision to become a developed nation by 2020. Through the Seventh Malaysia Plan (7th Malaysia Plan), Shah Alam ADTEC was built in the Bukit Kemuning industrial area on a 40-acre site and completed its construction in 2000. ADTEC Shah Alam has commenced operations with the first recruitment of 107 students. Y.A.B Dato 'Seri Abdullah Bin Ahmad Badawi as Deputy Prime Minister at the time officiated the establishment of ADTEC Shah Alam on 11 January 2003. As of December 2014, ADTEC Shah Alam has deployed 3861 graduates in various professions including Welding, Manufacturing (Machining), Quality Assurance, Computers (Systems), Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, Mechatronics, Electronics, Electric Power and Airplane Maintenance. ADTEC Shah Alam graduates have entered the industry market not only domestically and abroad. In addition, through the Malaysian Japan Automotive Industry Co-Operation (MAJAICO) program, which is an initiative under the Japan Malaysia Economic Cooperation Agreement signed in July 2006, JTM is tasked with running the MAJAICO B project, a collaboration between the Ministry of Human Resources (KSM) and Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO).

The MAJAICO B project undertaken by JTM and NISSAN aims to conduct training activities for lecturers in training institutions as well as expand their existing skills to a higher level to train the industrial workforce in the automotive field.

With a total of 10 courses offered at ADTEC Shah Alam, it will be a major responsibility of the institution to generate high-income skilled labor as the State expects at least 54% of skilled workers by 2020.
