About Politeknik Port Dickson

The Port Dickson Polytechnic was established in 1990 with an area of ​​100 acres. It is the sixth polytechnic built under the Division of Polytechnic Management, Department of Technical Education, Ministry of Education Malaysia. Its construction is fully funded by the World Bank and employs approximately 1,200 full-time students.

Starting with the enrollment of 120 students in 1990, enrollment has increased to 3156 students in various fields. Under the 7th Malaysia Plan, the polytechnic was given a sum of RM55 million to upgrade its facilities and buildings. The Polytechnic was successfully developed by the end of 2005. After 15 years of establishment, the Port Dickson Polytechnic has become one of the leading institutions of higher learning in the country.

To date, Port Dickson Polytechnic has produced 9682 graduates to enter various occupations in the country. There are 6 academic departments in the Port Dickson Polytechnic that are the Department of Civil Engineering, the Department of Mechanical Engineering, the Department of Electrical Engineering, the Department of Commerce, the Department of Mathematical Science and Computers and the Department of General Studies. There are also 11 diploma courses and 5 certificate courses offered at the Port Dickson Polytechnic.
