Politeknik METrO Tasek Gelugor

Politeknik METrO Tasek Gelugor (PMTG) created on the 8th October 2012, began operations at its new premises, Tasek Gelugor Commercial Center, Tasek Gelugor, Penang on a historic date for the PMTG and Polytechnic Malaysia of 23 hb. November 2015 after nearly 3 years of operation at the Seberang Perai Polytechnic, Permatang Pauh Road, Penang.

The PMTG is the fifth (5) METRO Polytechnic  established in line with the country's transformation agenda of enhancing competitiveness through the development of high-income economies, especially in terms of generating a versatile and flexible human capital in a dynamic work market environment.

All METrO Polytechnics offer only two full-time study programs. PMTG offers Diploma in Information Technology and Diploma in Video and Film Studies. In addition, PMTG will also offer subscription courses and short courses under the Lifelong Learning Program (PSH) based on local community needs.
