What is Applied Meteorology?
The Applied Meteorology study program studies the natural phenomena that occur in the Earth's atmosphere related to the biological, physical and chemical components contained in them, as well as the effects of human behavior. In addition, the students will study the causes of climate change which have a very significant influence on human survival. For example, harvest season, long dry season, heavy rain, strong winds, and so on. In this study program will also study the use of data and information as well as programming and instrumentation of meteorological equipment, weather and climate patterns, air pollution, as well as various strange symptoms that occur in the atmosphere. The Applied Meteorology study program can be said to be more applicable, because the theories studied will be applied in various fields such as the application of meteorology to agriculture (agro meteorology), aviation, marine meteorolgy, building design (building meteorology), and others other.
Why did you choose this programme?
The climate and weather phenomenon is very interesting to learn. Moreover, in the Applied Meteorology study program you not only get theoretical knowledge but also the application of meteorological theories in various aspects of life. In this study program, the main pillars are physics and mathematics. So, if you like these two subjects, you are right to choose this study program.
