What is Processing Engineering Technology?
Processing Engineering technology has 4 courses that falls under this major offered in KKTM Masjid Tanah The Diploma in Composite Polymer Processing Engineering Technology (Diploma Teknologi Kejuruteraan Pemprosesan Polimer Komposit) is a 3 -year program provided specifically for teaching and learning in the field of composite polymer materials and processing technologies. This skills -oriented program is expected to provide capable and professional graduates who can master various theoretical and practical aspects especially in the field of polymer composite materials and processing technology. Among the knowledge and skills learned include the concept of polymer materials and composites, processing and production technology, material and product design, mold design and fabrication, fabrication and assembly, component maintenance and repair, as well as material and product testing and analysis. This program is conducted in collaboration with the Advanced Material Research Center (AMREC), SIRIM Berhad and the German Malaysia Institute (GMI). Diploma in Ceramic Processing Engineering Technology (Diploma Teknologi Kejuruteraan Pemprosesan Seramik) is a three -year diploma program that covers a comprehensive curriculum in providing skilled specialist graduates as well as understanding the process of design, fabrication, and analysis of all problems that arise in ceramic manufacturing technology. In particular students will understand the processes of designing models and molds, methods of preparation of ceramic materials, product fabrication, drying and firing processes, methods of finishing and decoration as well as analyzing all the problems that arise in determining the quality of processing and ceramic products. The priority of learning is on the aspect of the process of making ceramics by hands-on with an emphasis on the concept of production based education. This program is conducted in collaboration with the Advanced Material Research Center (AMREC), SIRIM Berhad and the German Malaysia Institute (GMI). Diploma in Plastic Processing Engineering Technology (Diploma Teknologi Kejuruteraan Pemprosesan Plastik) is a three -year diploma program that covers a comprehensive curriculum in producing skilled specialist graduates as well as understanding various methods of processing plastic materials. The learning priority is to emphasize the application aspect of plastic processing technology in a hands-on manner. Examples of processes that are often used in plastic manufacturing & processing technology are Injection molding, Extrusion, Blow Molding & Blow Film. This program is conducted in collaboration with the Advanced Material Research Center (AMREC), SIRIM Berhad and the German Malaysia Institute (GMI). Diploma in Aerospace Composite Manufacturing Industry (Diploma Industri Pembuatan Komposit Aerongkasa) offers theory -based and practical training in the field of aerospace composite manufacturing to produce a semi -professional workforce according to the needs of the current composite industry. Students are exposed to technology in composite manufacturing especially in aircraft component manufacturing. They will be provided with knowledge and applications of composite manufacturing. Next, students will be trained through a complete project that applies the theory and techniques.
