What is Physics?

This study program invites students to study natural phenomena that are not alive or material in the sphere of time and space. Students will also study the behavior and nature of matter in a very diverse field, ranging from submicroscopic particles that shape all matter to the behavior of the material universe as a whole cosmos. Physics has taken an important role since centuries ago, developed since the time of Galileo then Newton's discovery of gravity to Einstein's Theory of Relativity. Currently physics strongly supports the development of technology, industry, communication, engineering, chemistry, and medicine. Physics has several special concentrations, such as Electronic Instrumentation, Geophysics, Medical Physics, Nuclear and Particle Physics, Material Physics and Condensed.

Why did you choose this programme?

Physics can be the right direction for you if you have an interest in science and are curious about how the world around you works. What needs to be considered to choose this department is, at least you have a strong foundation in mathematics, especially Algebra, and high analytical power.

Job Prospect for Physics

If a Physics Engineering graduate is prepared to be an engineer, pure Physics is directed to become a scientist, although it can also be an academic or teaching force. It is also possible for physics graduates to work in mining and oil companies and other industries.
