What is Mathematics?

Students in the Mathematics study program study pure mathematics such as algebra, geometry, and mathematical analysis. In addition, students also have the opportunity to study statistics, computing, actuarial and operational research. Even though mathematics lessons are very well known to everyone, the Mathematics Study Program doesn't get much interest. Despite to this courses very limited career prospects, this course is often considered complicated. However, the Mathematics Department learns many things that are not just calculating formulas

Why did you choose this programme?

If you are interested in the world of counting and have strong analytical skills, then the Mathematics study program can be the right choice for you. In this study program you will be invited to tamper with and dismantle and prove the mathematical theorems that we have known so far.
