What is Television Program Executive?

Directs and coordinates activities of personnel engaged in preparation of television station program schedules and programs in live or taping format, such as sports, drama or news. The Program executive assist the programme director to lead the production process.

Task

? Plan and schedule programming and event coverage, based on broadcast length, time availability, and other factors, such as community needs, ratings data, and viewer demographics ? Coordinate activities between departments, such as news and programming ? Direct and coordinate activities of personnel engaged in broadcast news, sports, or programming ? Direct the production processes ? Monitor and review programming to ensure that schedules are met, guidelines are adhered to, and performances are of adequate quality ? Check completed program logs for accuracy and conformance with Communications Commission (KPI) rules and regulations and resolve program log inaccuracies

Communication and Media

Knowledge of media production, communication, and techniques and methods of dissemination. Includes alternative ways to inform and entertain through writing, verbal, and visual media.

Administration and Management

Knowledge of business and management principles including strategic planning, resource allocation, human resource modeling, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination between people and resources.

Knowledge of the structure and content of English, including the meaning and spelling of each word, composition rules, and grammar.
