What is Marine Science?

Marine Science is very broad in scope, ranging from ecology, marine meteorology, and conservation of marine environmental resources. It is not limited to learning about the ocean, but also about the coastal area and the empowerment of coastal communities, the majority of whom are fishermen. Marine Science certainly has no connection with fisheries. So, in this study program we will also study science related to fisheries.

Why did you choose this programme?

Marine Science is an appropriate and well-founded study program, especially for those of you who like outdoor activities such as swimming and diving. If you are not good at swimming or diving, don't worry. In this study program there will also be swimming and diving lessons. Marine Science is very interesting to explore, especially Indonesia has a really beautiful sea. In addition, you have a high concern for the environment, especially the sea is very fitting in this study program because one of the focuses is about marine conservation.

Suitable Student's Characteristic

Job Prospect for Marine Science

The number of graduates of Marine and Fisheries Sciences is still minimal, making this study program offers the prospect of very large employment opportunities for graduates. Graduates of this study program have employment prospects in government and private research institutions to study and examine various problems about the sea, in various government agencies such as the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Provincial or District Marine Services, as instructors in the field of marine science, even diving instructors .
