What is Marine Engineering?
Ocean Engineering is a study program for students who want to study marine engineering. This study program has nothing to do with biota and other types of animals in the sea, but rather study buildings and structures related to the sea. Actually Ocean Engineering is the development of Civil Engineering, but more specifically studying the structures on the coastline and offshore. In addition, Ocean Engineering also studies shipping techniques and management of marine resources.
Why did you choose this programme?
Malaysia is a maritime country with more than 70% of its territory is sea. Therefore, it is not wrong if you major in marine engineering. The graduates of this study program have an important role in the development of marine areas, such as offshore oil drilling, breakwater, reclamation, abrasion protection, and sea transportation infrastructure.

Job Prospect for Marine Engineering
Graduates of Ocean Engineering are of course highly needed by many industries, especially if the industry has a close relationship with the sea. For example building a sea wave power plant, or Petronas wants to establish offshore drilling, they will definitely need marine engineering experts.
