What is Craft Arts?
The Craft Arts course teaches the art of crafting or crafts that are of aesthetic and ethnic value in a medium such as wood, stone, textiles, metals, and others. Examples of art objects include artifacts, woven fabrics, jars, and others. Whereas the techniques in making craft arts include knitting, embroidery, weaving, batik, tapestry, and so on. In this study program you will learn to create works that have cultural values in addition to the use-value. The Craft Arts study program itself is a branch of Fine Arts which also has a number of specializations or concentrations, including Wood Craft Art, Textile Craft Art, Metal Craft Art, and Ceramic Craft Art.
