What is Biomedical Engineering?
Biomedical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering is an applied technique in the medical / medical field that requires a variety of disciplines in mastering the material which includes the application of engineering and technical principles in the medical or medical fields. The program combines the design and problem solving capabilities of an engineer with medical and biological sciences, because it combines several types of engineering and medical elements that aim to improve patient recovery and general health. The department will study basic science and techniques, which include the following: basic electronics and computer science, body anatomy, physiology, medical physics, biomedical transducers and instrumentation, system design and biomedical projects. Biomedical engineering also involves learning about the world of biology in a new way and is expected to be able to develop new tools or methods to facilitate diagnosis and treatment, and to repair diseased organs / parts of the body in the human body.
Why did you choose this programme?
Biomedical Engineering graduates are expected to have mastery on the basis of strong mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology and engineering engineering that stands out because of the field of work that will be closely related to medical engineering and health instrumentation in the future. Biomedical Engineering is a place / place for students who want to continue their education that is focused and specialized in health services. Completed by competent teaching staff to support the field of biomedical engineering, which is concentrated in the fields of Biology Control, Molecular Biology, Reproductive Biology, Histopathology, Biophysics, Medical Instrumentation, Genetic Engineering and Medical Chemistry.
