What is Journalism?

Journalism can be said to be the most dynamic study program among others. Journalism is an activity to find, process, and disseminate news to audiences through mass media. In the journalism study program we will be taught the techniques of searching, writing, and editing news, and how the news is distributed through various media, both print and electronic. Students can choose to study journalism according to the choice of media. Therefore, students need to understand the character of the media and its changes. The process of forming print and electronic media news is of course different. Print media journalists must strengthen their logic and writing skills, while radio and television journalists learn broadcasting so they must always exercise their verbal strength. In addition, with the rapid growth of online media today, journalists must be able to process news faster.

Why did you choose this programme?

For those of you who want to become journalists, you can choose this study program. Being a journalist is challenging. You will be in the field more often reporting, interviewing resource persons, meeting with many people, rather than just sitting behind a desk.
